Go to Cameras in your Studio dashboard, add a new camera, and Atlas will generate an FTP/FTPS destination with credentials. Enter those into your camera's network settings and every photo you shoot will upload automatically — no cables, no manual imports.
No additional hardware is required beyond a camera with built-in FTP/FTPS support (or an FTP-capable grip/adapter for cameras that support one) and a Wi-Fi connection at your shoot location.
There is no free plan. Every self-serve plan (Starter, Studio, Lab) includes a **3-day free trial** with a card required up front. After 3 days it auto-converts to monthly billing at the plan price shown on Pricing. Cancel from Billing before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. See Pricing for full details.
Most photographers are fully connected and ingesting photos within about 10 minutes — creating an account, setting up your studio, and configuring your first camera's FTP connection.
Any camera with built-in FTP/FTPS transfer support. This includes most modern Canon EOS bodies (R6, R5, R3, and similar) as well as other manufacturers offering native FTP upload.
Yes. Each plan includes a set number of camera connections (see Pricing for the live allotment), and you can add more at any time as a modular add-on.
Some camera bodies support FTP through an add-on grip or firmware update. Check your camera manufacturer's documentation — if FTP transfer isn't available on your body at all, Atlas won't be able to auto-ingest from it directly.
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep full access until then.
Your photos stay exactly where they are. If your new plan's storage or camera limit is lower than what you're currently using, you won't lose anything already uploaded — you'll just need to stay within the new limits going forward (or add capacity via add-ons).
