No additional hardware is required beyond a camera with built-in FTP/FTPS support (or an FTP-capable grip/adapter for cameras that support one) and a Wi-Fi connection at your shoot location.

Any camera with built-in FTP/FTPS transfer support. This includes most modern Canon EOS bodies (R6, R5, R3, and similar) as well as other manufacturers offering native FTP upload.
Yes. Each plan includes a set number of camera connections (2 on Starter, 5 on Studio, 15 on Lab), and you can add more at any time as a modular add-on.
Some camera bodies support FTP through an add-on grip or firmware update. Check your camera manufacturer's documentation — if FTP transfer isn't available on your body at all, Atlas won't be able to auto-ingest from it directly.
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep full access until then.
Your photos stay exactly where they are. If your new plan's storage or camera limit is lower than what you're currently using, you won't lose anything already uploaded — you'll just need to stay within the new limits going forward (or add capacity via add-ons).
